Slobodan Djurovic, a Montenegrin student currently enrolled at the University of Salzburg (Austria) in the Masters for European Union Law, spent three months as an intern in CID, under the Erasmus+ Internship Programme. Upon completion of the internship, Slobodan is sharing his story:

”I decided to choose CID as a hosting organisation for my internship after I met Stefan Manevski on a training course that I was attending. I found out about the activities that CID is practicing and developed an interest in discovering the organisation myself.

My Learning Agreement, signed between my university and CID, mentioned that I would get the chance to learn about the procedures related to applying for and implementing Erasmus+ projects. In the first month of my internship, I  focused on youth exchanges and training courses, having a chance to write and apply for a youth exchange project together with CID Academy on the topic of youth unemployment vis-a-vis farming.

I was also involved in other activities of CID, such as communication with volunteers and partners and organizing various cultural events. One moment I will remember is riding a tractor as part of the logistics team.

My experience in CID was wonderful, due to  the very dynamic working environment, experienced youth workers and friendly atmosphere in the office. I was also happy to be a part of the planning of the 10 year anniversary of CID and the annual planning for 2016.

This being said, I would be very happy to cooperate with CID in my future engagement in the youth work  sector.”
