ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project “Training of trainers in Citizenship Education: Global Responses in Preventing Radicalization”, aims to develop capacities of educational and youth work practitioners (teachers and youth workers) to work on combating violent radicalization, by designing and delivering educational programmes that promote Global Citizenship Education.

The project provide participants with the theory and tools necessary to design, implement and evaluate effective training programmes for global citizenship education and bridges educators from schools and youth organization in the promotion of anti-radicalisation and citizenship education. The project will create a community of practice, of educational practitioners in formal and non formal education with specific skills to act upon anti-radicalisation using approaches of global citizenship education when working with young people, in their respective fields including formal education and youth sector. It will also develop a set of 4 E-course Modules, who will be used to engage young people from all over the world in the combating of violent radicalisation and promotion of human rights and dignity.

 

About the Study visit

The Study Visit will be organized as one of the final project activity, aiming to present the project outcomes and provide space for cross-sectorial networking. It will be organized in Brussels, in the heart of networking and policy development of Europe and will include visits to relevant institutions, as well as a public panel with policy makers and young people; The Study visit will include 16 participant and as outcome policy recommendations will be produced, on the affirmation and recognition of global citizens education, as a tool for anti-radicalisation. As hosting organization Out of the Box International is highly experienced in policy dialogue with institutions, thus they will provide expertise and facilitation for this part of the project;

 

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE:
  • to be over 18 years old
  • to have experience in working with a NGO both on local and international level
  • to be interested in the topic and motivated to take part in the project
  • able to communicate in English
  • willing to share their experience with CID

 

 

ACCOMMODATION and FINANCES:

All costs related to travel, accommodation and food will be covered by the hosting organization (Out of the Box International).
