volunteer photo(2)The Macedonian National Agency for Youth in Action programme has approved our project application for an EVS project in CID. The project title is “Ajde Makedonija: Exchange of European Experiences in Youth Work” and it will offer a unique volunteering experience for 3 volunteers. Eduardo from Portugal and Martina from Slovakia are coming on 1 July and staying for 8 months in Kumanovo, while Stefan from Bulgaria will be in CID for 2 months during summer.

The volunteers will work to build the links between youth policy, youth research and young people. They will provide information mainly to local young people living in areas near Kumanovo, especially with youngsters from Proevce and Lipkovo.

But that is not all. Eduardo and Martina will also spend their time in the MultiKulti youth center. They have many different art and culture activities for anyone willing to join them in their work. Also they will support the local youth council to understand the youth policy in Kumanovo.

The EVS project aims to promote bigger exchange of good practices in local youth work projects. That’s why Stefan will be in Kumanovo for the summer. He will conduct a small survey of the efficiency of the youth work provided in Multi Kulti youth centres and will work on promotional tools for the youth work programmes.

The sending partners of the project are mainly from the Service Civil International including INEX Slovakia and CVS Bulgaria. The partner from Portugal is the Association Casa da Horta from Porto.
