From 17-24 March 2012, around 20 volunteers were involved in spreading the voice about European Week against Racism. CID joined the European-wide event by organizing local campaign “Raise the Voice of Youth against Racism”
The campaign included several activities, such as school info points, art competitions and music performances. The main event was an Art exhibition and an Unplugged music performance that engage young people from local community in talking about and celebrating multiculturalism. The event gathered more than 60 young people from Kumanovo, using the art as an expression and tool to promote the Action Week against Racism.
The team that organized the local campaign is very happy for the involvement of the local community in the events, especially the effort many teachers used to present this week in their classes by lectures or art actions the topic.
