Ireland YE_august 2012(3)Because of the hot weather and high temperatures in Macedonia, six motivated young people decided to leave the country and to visit rainy Ireland for two weeks.. hehe

Actually, the real reason for our traveling was youth exchange that took place in lovely eco village in Ireland-Cloughjordan from 7th till 17th of August 2012.

The exchange was made in the framework of YUWG (young unemployed working group of international network SCI-Service Civil International).

There were participants from Macedonia, Hungary, Serbia and Ireland, all creating big group with diverse background, interesting to explore and learn. We spent wonderful 10 days with 30 participants from all over Europe working on different topics connected to exploring our identity and crossing the bridge among us, using creative drama workshops

Also we spend 10 days eating organic food and no meat, so everyone had to explore how is it to be a vegetarian for 10 days! It was new experience for us.

We were farming: 3 days working on the farm were spent and everybody loved it, and wanted more 🙂

We had so many new experiences such as spending one day in Adventure Park playing team building games, and after that we went cannoning. All of us together decide to make final event and invite the people from the local community so we could show them what we have learn.

We were cooking for them, dancing, drumming, and we performed drama act. They were amazed from what and how we did!

So after this extraordinary ten days, we all safely came back home with new experiences and memories in our heart from the people that we met and work that we done.

Looking forward to the next learning experience!
