CID in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Agency for Youth and Sport of Macedonia is conducting a mapping of existing youth organizations from Macedonia and their work in order to proceed with a national youth work recognition process through various activities. The mapping will show the types and frequency of youth work provision in the country as well as what youth workers think should be the best way forward towards their recognition.
The idea is to set up a National Association of Youth Workers and to initiate a discussion with the institutions to recognize youth centers and youth work. In April the constitutive meeting will be held in Skopje and following this step it is planned to work closely with the relevant ministries and the Agency for Youth and Sport in defining what is youth work and how it can be supported on local level.
