September marks a new stage for CID and its members: the long-awaited CID Academy has started. After two previous successful editions, the CID School of Leaders is a different kind of school, which will lead 15 participants through the process of self-development in a new learning experience.
CID Academy is a 9 month project designed to prepare future leaders that will develop their activity in the field of youth work. During the sessions, the participants will be coached in order to gain skills in project writing, organisation management and efficient communication, but they will also practice working in a team through teambuilding activities.
The first session, which was conducted on the 12th of September, was an introductory presentation that presented the participants with the working programme and familiarized them with the methodology of the course. The participants expressed their enthusiasm regarding the upcoming sessions. They expect to learn more about the functioning of an organisation, to develop new skills in project writing and training, to develop ideas for future projects and to build up a friendly team to work on.
Weekly sessions await the participants with interactive workshops and new opportunities to get involved and be creative.
