The year 2016 came with a pleasant surprise for CID – our Secretary General, Milos Ristovski, was elected to be a member of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe. His mandate will last for 2 years, from 2016 to 2018.
We asked him what it means to hold this position and this is what he shared with us:
”This is a great achievement for me. This process will open the opportunity to enhance my capacity to represent the youth in front of various representatives of the Council of Europe. I would like to mention that this is not my achievement alone, but also the common achievement of the organisation, and even of Macedonia. After all, I am the only Macedonian representative who passed the final selection for this body. It is the result of the continuous work of CID as an organisation with and for the young people. CID is celebrating 10 years of activity this year, and it was in CID that I developed the skills and the experience that I need today to be part of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe.”
The international recognition of CID´s work is highlited also by the fact that Matej Manevski was elected to be part of the Programming Committee on Youth of the Council of Europe. This committee has the task to approve, follow and evaluate the programmes of the youth centres of the CoE and the European Youth Foundation.
CID is wishing Matej and Milos a productive term and successful achievement of their personal goals.
