Mila_april2012The Center for Intercultural Dialogue took part in a training project in partnership with the Center for Non-formal Education and Lifelong learning in Serbia. The project took part in Novi Sad from 13th-21st March 2012 and Mila Karadafova from Skopje participated on behalf of CID. Here are some of her impressions:

“Dear Readers! Let me first introduce myself. I’m Mila Karadafova from Skopje, Macedonia and I want to share my story about a training. I recently started participating in CID’s activities and I had the chance to participate in the training “Volunteer centres – active youth in communities” in Novi Sad, Serbia. The training was about volunteer centers, volunteering activities and management. It was a wonderful experience and we had the chance to learn through non-formal education, share best practices and experiences among the group (the trainers and participants as well). This was also a chance for me to make new friendships with great people from Serbia, Croatia, Latvia, Kosovo, Turkey and Macedonia. All of the participants jointly developed Ideas on volunteering activities that can be implemented in our countries and we also brainstormed some new ideas for youth exchanges that can be done in partnership with all of the NGO’s that were part of this project. This was a great experience for me and I would definitely encourage young people to be more active and to follow the educational opportunities that CID offers, to apply and be part of a project and gain wonderful and life changing experience. I would definitely continue to participate in local and International projects to further develop my skills in youth work, and I hope I’ll have the chance to meet a few persons that are currently reading my story, so we can discuss and share different experiences and life changing stories.”
