Center for Intercultural Dialogue was organizer and host of the unique youth conference Look Beyond held on Skopje Fair in Skopje, Macedonia on the 10th and 11th June 2014. Look Beyondis a conference organised to evaluate the role of the Youth in Action Programme in youth work development in Europe.
The conference aimed to reflect the impact of the Youth in Action programme as a funding mechanism has had on the development of local youth work and youth policy across Europe. It created space for youth work providers and main stakeholders in the field to discuss the current challenges and opportunities of youth work, providing guide for future.
The conference gathered representatives more than 70 youth organizations from Europe and Macedonia, policy makers, representatives of various institutions such as the European Commission, SALTO Resource Centers, EU-CoE Partnership, Council of Europe, European Youth Forum, youth researchers, youth workers and young people.
The programme included 7 plenary panels; 6 workshops; 3 presentations, 15 guest speakers, 70 youth organizations, and 1 Youth work fair. The conference was closed by a Youth Work Fair which was an unique networking opportunity for all the youth organizations and young people who have visited it.
The conference is an outcome of the 7 day International Evaluation Meeting on the same topic organized in the framework of Youth in Action programme, hosted by the Center for Intercultural Dialogue.
