The organization Outward Bound Croatia is organizing a training course ‘Inform and be informed’ in the heart of the national park Velebit, in a tourism resort Rizvan City. 
The training course will bring together youth workers and youth leaders from Turkey, Malta, Macedonia, Portugal and Croatia in the period 20 – 29 April 2015. 
The objectives of the training course is to encourage utilization of EU funding, active citizenship, inter-cultural dialogue and social inclusion of youth from rural areas. With this training we expect that the participants will be encouraged to more tolerance, solidarity and improvement of foreign language competencies. Throughout the entire training course we will use non-formal education methods, while encouraging peer-learning, implementation of sharing sessions and discussion groups. Besides this, many different workshops and activities will take place, among which ice-breakers, debates, sport and outdoor activities.

    • Social media – tool of the future
    • Spread your message- workshops
    • Presentation of the participants projects.

 

  • Day 5: 
    • Erasmus+ youth mobility projects – youth exchanges, EVS
    • EU dimension

 

  • Day 6:
    • Empowering youth from rural areas through non-formal education methods
    • Project writing workshop

 

  • Day 7: 
    • Developing a project for local youth about Erasmus + opportunities
    • Thematic evening

 

  • Day 8: 
    • Project with the local youth in the local community
    • Reflection evening

 

  • Day 9: 
    • Presentation of project concepts
    • Consultations / Open space / Youth passes
    • Evaluation and closing the training

 

  • Day 10:
    • Departure day

 
 
Financial aspects: 
 

  • Food and accommodation costs will be covered up to 100%.  The participants will be accommodated in bungalows in the rural tourism resort Rizvan City. http://www.adria-velebitica.hr/hr
  • Travel expenses will be covered up to 275 EUR. You will have to buy the ticket on your own, and you will be reimbursed after receiving all original tickets and boarding passes.

 
Participant profile:

  • Are above 18 years old
  • Be able to work in English
  • Interested in the topic of the training course
  • Highly motivated to learn and share their own experience with the other participants
  • Be able to attend the entire duration of the training course
  • Give a follow up and share what they have learned after the training course with their sending organization (CID)
