ABOUT THE PROJECT
There is a serious necessity of the intercultural competence in a mixed society where we live in, especially looking at it through the prism of youth unemployment which is at a very high level which is in no way a good thing for any young person. The overall aim of the project is strengthening of the intercultural competences through methods of non-formal education as a tool to increase the participants’ employment opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills which will provide them with better chances for future employment. Additionally, it will promote intercultural dialogue as an advantage in their community – to learn and to accept working in intercultural environment facing its challenges and benefits, and possibly also decreasing hate-crime but at the same time increasing the effectiveness and quality of the job they perform.
The idea of this project is directly linked to the promotion of European Citizenships through youth work as one of the few sustainable ways to promote interculturality and equal opportunities for different communities. In this way, the participants have the space to gain and exercise their competences in active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion in particular through increased learning mobility opportunities for young people. This youth exchange will allow direct youth participation in approach. This project promotes cultural diversity and the participants will have a chance to communicate with each other and automatically feel as an important part of a larger European context that promotes acceptance of differences.
