Training Course “The Future of Youth Work”

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Main aim of this project is to provide an opportunity to emerging youth workers to gain knowledge, skills and practical experience necessary for supporting youth especially those from marginal backgrounds. The project will contribute to the
professional development of a group of youth workers in education and/or training in Macedonia, Estonia and the United Kingdom through involving them in training and practical working experience in all nations, as well as through developing tools both off and online that they can use in their future work in this field. One of the major aims of the collaboration is the development of accreditation and recognition of professional youth work both in the UK, Estonia and Macedonia as well as Europe and even on a Global context.

The Training Course:
A training course for 21 participants (youth workers) on contemporary, unique and progressive approaches to youth work in a variety of fields from social, to outdoor, to inter-cultural education. Setting the ground work for the experimental methods. Different educational tools shared among the participants and youth workers trained in using them, during the project, covering different tools, youth provision methodologies, youth work styles and theories. The participants will have a chance to practice the gained knowledge and experience working with young people in their local community and with international groups during the course.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE:

• Age above 18;
• Experienced youth workers;
• Strongly motivated to participate;
• Able to communicate in English;
• Able to be present at the whole time of the event;
• Willing to share their experience with CID.
