ABOUT THE PROJECT
This seminar is the fourth activity of the 3 years project. It will be hosted by Student Science Academy “Rebus” in Bulgaria. There will be 20 students in total from Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
The aim of this project is to associate the student’s community to the legislative process and to the process of taking strategical decisions in relation to the development of the European legislation.
The seminar is going to be in the form of a competition. The theoretical part will include the lectures from the previous seminar that will be provided (with a subtopic European law system, Criminal procedural law). The students are going to be separated in 4 teams. The competition consists of two rounds. In the first round team 1 competes with team 4 and team 2 with team 3. The two winning teams compete in the second round. In each round the teams are given a specific task for which they have 5 hours to work on. After that the two competing teams have a debate. Each debate is 90 minutes. After the debate a commission of 5 “judges” decides the winning team. The competition is going to simulate a legislative process. The tasks, which the students will receive are in the field of “Transposition of European legal acts”.
