Short descriptionSchool against hate speech “Countering sexist and homophobic hate speech” is a 6-months pilot activity targeting youth workers, educators and online social media activists from different regions in North Macedonia. It is consisted of three parts:

 

  1. Training for equipping 20 participants (youth workers, educators and online social media activists from different regions in North Macedonia) with competences to recognise hate speech and the negative effects it has on the community, in particular to identify and actively combat sexist and homophobic hate speech, and promote human rights.
  1. Local booster workshops – After the training course there will be five months for the implementation of follow up activities in a form of local booster workshops in the participants’ communities. The participants will work in teams according to the place where they live and they will organize local workshops for other activists back in their organisations or institutions on the topic of combating sexists and homophobic hate speech.
  1. Evaluation in the end of May 2020 when the participants will gather to share their experience in the implementation of the local booster workshops and in the same time raise awareness for the negative effects that sexists and homophobic hate speech has on the Human Rights.
