Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) – Kumanovo in a partnership with the Initiative for European Perspective (IEP) – Skopje, AKVA – Struga, NEXUS Civil Concept – Skopje, and CBM – Mitrovica is opening a call for trainers to conduct the training on violent extremism for CSOs Platform members as part of the project “Youth Civic Education Platform for Countering Radicalization (Youth Counter)”, supported by the EU.
The training will be held in Mavrovo, from 23-25 July, 2021.
Required competences for the trainer
- Expert in the field of violent extremism and countering radical narratives;
- Ability to introduce, explain and facilitate individual and group learning in the areas of focus of the training course;
- Educational and communication competence – the capacity to present concepts, methodologies and theories relevant for the activity concerned in a coherent and comprehensible manner;
- Experience in preparing and running training activities based on non-formal learning approaches;
- Ability to collaborate and work in a multicultural team;
- Ability to respect deadlines;
- Ability to stimulate active participation by motivating and empowering learners;
- Flexibility in responding to participants’ changing needs
- Ability to contribute to and work in an intercultural team of trainers;
- Fluency in Macedonian or Albanian;
Expectations from the trainer
- Preparing for the Training
-Developing the program on the risks for youth from violent extremism and the role of CSOs in the process and working methodology with the team;
-The training will be composed of 4-5 sessions a day for three days;
-Providing suggestions on how to improve the program based on participants’ needs;
- During the Training Course
-Facilitating part of the workshops; discussions and exercises during the training course;
-Supporting the team in their workshops;
-Providing expert input;
- After the Training Course
-Submitting brief trainers report;
-Providing suggestions to the host organization on possible areas of improvement of the organization of such projects;
