Between 3rd and 4th of May a transnational partners’ meeting for the project SociAl competences and FundamEntal Rights for preventing bullying (SAFER) was organized in Florence, Italy by Guinty Psychometrics, a project partner. This was a first face-to-face meeting of the project partners. The aim of the meeting was to thoroughly discuss specificities of the work of the project, perform a face-to-face progress review in each WP and make detailed planning of the future direction of the project.

The meeting started with presentation of the summary report of the analysis of best practices in bullying prevention and intervention. Every partner has researched and collected 3 successful stories from their own countries. Next step of the project activities is delivering a biographic-perceptive questionnaire to 200 students from local primary schools. Meanwhile the project partners will work on a manual for teachers and students and prepare for the piloting phase of activities that will be implemented in classes where the questionnaire will be delivered. The first day of the meeting was concluded with presentation of the state of art of the WP Quality by Association Roditeli.

The second day of the meeting started with presentation of the evaluation protocol, including tasks, duties and deadlines for evaluation scope by Universidade do Algarve (UAlg). Next on the agenda was the interim report, which is due to 15.06.2022 and the lead partner Fondazione Hallgarten Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca (FCSVM) will prepare it. Cyprus Pedagogical Institute – The Cyprus Observatory on School Violence (C.O.S.V.) presented next steps for dissemination and delays to be covered. The meeting was concluded by European Anti-Bullying Network with first ideas for the SAFER sustainability plan.

Next face-to-face meeting of the partner consortium will be held in the end of October.
