Jovana attended the Regional Conference on Media and Information Literacy (MIL) in South East Europe & Turkey in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina between 31st January – 1st February 2023 as a panelist.
The conference’s main goal was to present the segment of work through various panel discussions. It aimed at providing a platform for sharing best practices, challenges and successes in MIL education among youth organizations.
The panel brought together representatives from youth organizations from South East Europe in order to discuss their experiences in implementing media and information literacy programs. At this panel discussion, the participants had a chance to hear and learn about the methods and strategies they used to educate young people about media literacy. It included discussions on topics such as the role of youth organizations in promoting MIL, the challenges of implementing MIL prograMs., and the impact of MILeducation on young people.
The project was focused on special attention for young people through formal and non- formal education and how they should have a framework and an opportunity to acquire media and information literacy knowledge.This program increases the ability to access and analyze media messages as well as create, reflect and take action if they are fake. It broadens and deepens our understanding of texts in media information and literacy.
