In the period from May 23 to 25, 2023, Ivana Stojchevska as a representative of the Youth Center MultiКулти from the Kumanovo together with Ivo Risteski as a representative of the Ohrid Youth Center / Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA and the youth officers from the municipalities of Veles and Probishtip, and with the support of NA, participated in the 5th European event of “Europe Goes Local” together with more than 170 participants from 27 countries, which took place in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Attending the 5th European event of “Europe Goes Local” was an exhilarating experience that left me inspired and empowered. This gathering of like-minded individuals, municipality representatives and organizations provided a unique platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices in the field of youth work. Throughout the event, I had the opportunity to engage with professionals and experts from various European countries, each bringing their own unique perspectives and insights. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, passion, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact on local communities.” – Ivana Stojchevska Youth worker

The goal, in addition to the exchange of good practices and experiences, was also:

  • Quality development of local youth work – Support in the recognition and quality development of youth work, as part of the municipal youth policy, governed by the European Charter for local youth work
  • Promoting European opportunities to support local youth work – Making the European dimension an integral part of youth work at the municipal level.
  • Creating bridges between local and European participants – Contributing to the development of youth work as part of European cooperation in the field of youth work.
  • Strengthening the dialogue between participants – making the European dimension integral to local youth work and offering tools and opportunities for cooperation and introduction of best European practices for the purpose of peer education.

It is important to note that our National Agency has become an equal partner in Europe Goes Local – the European initiative that unites partners involved in the advocacy, development, support and implementation of youth work.
