Promoting Youth Activism in Multiethnic Communities is a project implemented by Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID), supported by National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The
project’s primary goal is to develop competencies of young people to gain practical knowledge on democratic and youth participation which the participants can further multiply in their
communities. The project is also aiming to foster social cohesion through cooperation between the various ethnicities, and to build a space to teach human rights, intercultural dialog, advocacy and building community trust.


A 5-day training will be organized from 7-11 September 2023, in Ohrid, North Macedonia. This training will be a great opportunity for everyone that is eager to built their competencies on the topic of democratic values and principles, human rights, leadership, community resilience, intercultural dialogue, and community trust building. A group of young people from different backgrounds will have the chance to learn from expert trainers on these topics, focusing on the creation of the group spirit and cohesion, as well the principles and values of human rights. It’s important to mention that all of the activities on this training will be facilitated bilingually, both in Macedonian and Albanian.
The training programme will allow participants to:

 – Develop skills
– Become activists
– Make friends
– Discuss important issues for young people and find solutions
– Become a change maker and make difference in your community
