In November 2024 and January 2025, the Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) organised a blended series of trainings on Artivism and Doughnut Economics, combining face-to-face and online learning approaches. The trainings brought together young people from the local community to explore creative activism and sustainable economic thinking in a youth-friendly and inclusive environment.
The first training took place on 22 November 2024 at the Youth Center in Lipkovo and focused on Artivism. Through interactive exercises, creative tasks and group work, participants explored how art can be used as a tool for social change and reflected on local challenges such as fast fashion, waste and youth participation.
The second part of the training was held online on 21 January 2025 and introduced the concept of Doughnut Economics. The online session connected global sustainability frameworks with local realities and encouraged critical reflection on sustainable development and community action.
By combining online and in-person elements, the blended approach fostered trust, group cohesion and a strong sense of ownership among participants. The trainings strengthened young people’s capacities to address local challenges through creativity, critical thinking and active participation.
