Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) is looking for a local coordinator for the project District of Reconciliation.

The local coordinator will have a working arrangement of 55.56% of full-time working hours for the duration of the project.

It is expected that the candidate for local coordinator will be available to work in the next 32 months, starting from 1st of May 2025.

 

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for regional dialogue and trust building in the Western Balkans. Special emphasis is placed on youth engagementparticipation of local communities, cultural cooperation, and the promotion of  intercultural dialogue. At its core, the initiative contributes to long-term peacebuilding and the strengthening of reconciliation efforts across the WB Region.

The project brings together civil society organizations from Serbia, Bosnia and  Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, forming a diverse and  interdisciplinary consortium. This complexity lies in the inclusion of organizations with  complementary profiles: organizations dedicated to peacebuilding and reconciliation,  youth organizations, actors engaged in democratic development and EU integration,  and institutions working in the field of arts and cultural production.

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the EU Civil Society Facility  and Media Programme in favour of the Western Balkans and Turkey 2021–2023 (IPA  III), with the goal of strengthening the role of civil society in building participatory  democracies and fostering reconciliation across the region.

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement the duties as local coordinator for the purposes of the Project
  • Prepare the Project narrative and progress reports
  • Communicate, support and arrange meetings with project partners
  • Mailing, archiving project documentation, coordinate the planned project activities and financial issues
  • Respect the given time schedules for reporting and other project activities
  • Perform other activities enabling achievement of the project objectives
  • Perform the duties assigned faithfully, honestly, responsibly and in accordance with the provisions of the Grant Agreement
  • Put maximum effort and abilities in coordination and implementation, and reflect the interests of the contracting authority
  • Keep all members of the team up-to-date with current information and paperwork

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in a NGO sector
  • Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
  • An ability to prepare schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • Fluent knowledge of Macedonian and English
  • Organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Teamwork oriented
