At the end of November, the Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) organised a one-day series of activities in Kumanovo dedicated to the topic of Black Friday and conscious consumerism, within the framework of the NoLabel project. Through a public action and a panel discussion held on the same day, young people were encouraged to reflect on their purchasing habits and the impact of overconsumption on society and the environment.
On 27 November, young volunteers gathered at the MultiКулти Youth Center for an open discussion on overconsumption and mindful choices. After the discussion, participants created simple sticker messages and went into the streets of Kumanovo to place them in public spaces and talk with citizens. Through informal conversations, they shared ideas about responsible consumption and invited people to think differently about Black Friday.
Later that same day, CID hosted the final NoLabel Panel, dedicated to Black Friday and consumerism. Led by Florin Rexhepi, the panel included a short video screening and an open discussion where participants critically explored consumer behaviour and alternative, more sustainable approaches to shopping.
These activities showed that young people can play an active role in promoting conscious lifestyles and starting important conversations in their communities.
