A new promotional video introducing the free online course “Sorting Facts from Fiction” is now available, inviting young people and citizens to strengthen their media literacy skills and learn how to better navigate today’s digital information space.

In a world where information spreads faster than ever, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish facts from misinformation. The video highlights how social media, online platforms, and digital content shape the way we understand current events, while also demonstrating why critical thinking and fact-checking skills are essential for responsible online participation.

Through engaging visuals and clear explanations, the video presents the online course developed within the MEDIActive Youth project, designed to help participants recognise misleading content, verify sources, and better understand how misinformation and manipulation work online.

The course offers practical knowledge and interactive learning materials that support young people in becoming informed digital citizens. By encouraging viewers to question information, analyse sources, and think critically before sharing content, the initiative contributes to building stronger resilience against misinformation.

The course is free of charge and available in multiple languages, making it accessible to a wide audience interested in improving their digital and media literacy skills.
