What does reconciliation look like through your eyes?

Maybe it is a conversation that never happened. A stereotype you want to challenge. A story that deserves to be heard. Or an idea you want to turn into a photo, video, performance, song or something completely different.

From 16 to 21 October 2026, young people from Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina will come together in Montenegro for Reconciliation Through Our Eyes – a Regional Youth Intercultural Camp within the District of Reconciliation project.

This will not be a camp where you spend five days just listening to presentations. You will discuss, question, create and work with other young people from across the region.

Together, we will explore topics such as media literacy, hate speech, stereotypes, polarization, intercultural dialogue and reconciliation, and turn ideas and experiences into creative content.

Depending on the interests of the group, you may work on:

  • theatre and performance
  • photography and video
  • music and songwriting
  • spoken word and poetry
  • illustrations and graphic content
  • installations and other artistic forms
  • journalism, storytelling and social media content

The works developed during the camp may later be presented or used within activities of the District of Reconciliation project.

Participants’ profile

Center for intercultural dialogue is looking for young people from North Macedonia who:

  • are 15–30 years old
  • are interested in dialogue, media, human rights, art, activism or regional cooperation
  • are curious about meeting and working with young people from different backgrounds
  • can communicate in English
  • are available for the full programme from 16–21 October 2026
  • are ready to participate actively and contribute their ideas

You do not need to be an artist, journalist or activist. Previous experience is welcome, but it is not required. What matters is your motivation, curiosity and willingness to create something together with others.
